Applications now invited: ICO / Bayer Clinical Training & Educational Bursary 2023

The Irish College of Ophthalmologists is delighted to announce that applications for its Clinical Training and Education Bursary are now invited.

The award supported by Bayer will help fund a year of subspecialty clinical training in a centre of excellence. It is aimed at ophthalmology trainees with a proven track record in achievement. The award is valued at up to €40,000.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be Specialist Registrars in their final year on the ICO’s Medical or Surgical Ophthalmology training programme.

Applicants must submit together with their curriculum vitae, the application form provided, completed in full, with all supporting documents by the closing date.

They must also provide written confirmation from the proposed clinical supervisor that a placement will be facilitated and what, if any, bursary/funding is available from the host institution or any other source.

The application form has been circulated to ICO Trainees in their final year of Higher Medical Training and Higher Surgical Training.
